Global Engagement

Since 2023, UGA has welcomed, within its GATES fellowship program, more than 30 foreign researchers (at the doctoral, post-doctoral, junior, senior and distinguished level) from more than 20 different countries from across the globe. This community of researchers is strong, unique and diversified and prides itself on being as open as it can possibly be, in terms of research, disciplines and areas of expertise.

Today, and in the context of the threats weighing over the research community in the United States, the GATES program has decided to open its doors to all researchers from the US looking for a secure and welcoming place to pursue their research and develop new projects. The GATES team will help them settle within the UGA research community as well as allow them to benefit from the support of the UGA research labs and infrastructures. Researchers will be welcomed by our International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO), will be affiliated to UGA with easy access to libraries and research facilities, and also have the assistance of Fostering Science and other such support units to help them obtain ERC Grants.

Le dispositif International Research Booster (IRB) est mis en place pour initier ou renforcer des collaborations scientifiques internationales au sein des laboratoires de l’UGA.

Il vient compléter les dispositifs en place permettant de développer des partenariats internationaux (dont les partenariats stratégiques de l'UGA) ou en créer de nouveaux et peut s’articuler avec d’autres dispositifs de financement extérieurs.

Dépôt des projets jusqu'au 10 mars 2025

Les projets seront évalués fin mars-début avril 2025, et ceux qui seront sélectionnés obtiendront un financement de 18 mois à partir de mai 2025.

Financée conjointement par les gouvernements français et américain ainsi que des partenaires, la Commission franco-américaine Fulbright France permet aux lauréats de réaliser leurs projets aux États-Unis ou en France et d’être pleinement acteurs du dialogue entre la France et les Etats-Unis.

L’Université Grenoble Alpes et la Commission Fulbright franco-américaine ont conclu un accord instituant la création de bourses de recherche pour les chercheurs et chercheuses affilié.es à UGA et souhaitant se rendre dans une université ou un institut de recherche américain. Ces bourses couvrent une mobilité de 3 à 12 mois en fonction du projet de recherche.
