"My research investigates on how institutional rationality and decision-making processes influence accessibility dimensions within decarbonization agendas. In particular, it examines the stages of decision-making related to the instrumental aspects of decarbonization and mobility policies and practices, emphasizing on the local planning and governance level.
I am particularly interested in the institutional and organizational levels, as well as the decision-making processes required to achieve an inclusive and decarbonized future. Drawing on case studies from Chile and France, this research explores the dynamics of local planning and management, including the visions, resources, and capabilities of institutions and organizations involved in developing climate change and decarbonization agendas. The ultimate aim is to generate insights for policy recommendations and educational content that support sustainable urban development and inclusive mobility strategies.
Key Activities include analysing case studies at the local government and organisational level to identify significant practices in urban mobility policies, institutional and organisational capacities, and particularly crossed by diversity and gender approach to foster more inclusive agendas.
This research also integrates a pedagogical dimension to promote knowledge transfer between MaCI and the Central University of Chile, fostering interdisciplinary learning and international collaboration. By bridging academic insights with practical applications, this work aspires to contribute to mobility justice transitions and sustainable urban planning, with a particular emphasis on addressing challenges in the Global South.
My motivations and objectives at the MaCI derive from its institutional vision related to the co-construction of a territorial strategy with its socio-economic and cultural partners, translating the ideas of creation and innovation towards a social, institutional, as well as environmental and built environment construct. Therefore, this is an inspiring place to develop novel approaches on mobility justice and inclusive decision-making for a decarbonized future, considering the successful cases of Grenoble, Paris and other French cities. With this pedagogical and collaborative experience, my hope to contribute to more rapid low carbon mobility transition."
